Do you have any of your wife's Copeman's moving to New York, USA around 1870 on? My gran, Marguerite Francis Copeman, was born Oct 19 about 1880 or a bit earlier in a New York hotel. She and her younger sister were raised by relatives and Gran didn't know her father's first name. As her 'Francis' middle name is spelled as a man's name, I thought it might be a father or a brother's name of oner of her parents or even a last name of a grand something or other. Her younger sister, Elsie (Louise?), was born in 1881 or 82 same state. But they became estranged and no longer spoke by the time I was born (1949) - we believe she went west to CA to be with the Rowes or Copemans as a girl. their mother's name may have been Nana Rowe Copeman married to a [?} Copeman unknown date.
