Marsha, I have a feeling I may have been in contact some long time back on this subject, so bear with me if I repeat myself. I responded from another site I think. My name was Joy Aldridge and I grew up in Tacolneston, Norfolk and was friends with Gloria Copeman, youngest daughter of Archibald and Bertha Copeman. who kept the local post office. I remember the family left in 1947 or 48. I also remember there was a Margaret Copeman, who remained in England as she was married and I am not sure whether there was another one. The son Philip I believe went with the family. There had been another son, ,Jim, who was killed during WW2 when the Guards Chapel in London was bombed. Your father, Melvyn, puzzles me, I believe that Bertha was too old to bear children, but I keep thinking he may have been adopted or been the son of Jim, whose wife had been expecting about that time. I just cannot remember him and I should. Hope this may be of some help. Joy Oakes-ASh
