Stephen,
Good day to you sir. I'm Joseph G. Copley, soon to be 34 y/o, residing in Cebu, Philippines. I'm a child of John N. Copley,69 y/o. He was named after his father (John Copley) who was serving as an American soldier during WW2. My grandfather was assigned in Fort Mills Corregidor in the Philippines.
Due to WW2 my father who was then very young does not have much recollection about his dad. He has been searching for him for years but to no avail. My father's longing to know more about himself (genealogy) has been a letdown.
We would appreciate it if you can help us in giving my father information about his genealogy. If you have an active file on the names under John Copley that was enlisted in the army and assigned in the Philippines during WW2, please share it to us. My father feels that he has been gravely deprived of his identity. He was orphaned at the age of 5 and has been passed around through his mother's relatives. He had to exchange his services to the relatives to get food, shelter, schooling.
Perhaps, this may help you in your search for missing/ unaccounted Copley family members. I believe that there is a reason why I have come across your message.
For any information, please reply to my posted Email address.
God Bless.
Joseph Copley
