Well, I'm red-faced... I've found a primary source showing that the Andreas KAPP who came to New York in 1710 did, indeed, go to Pennsylvania, to the region of Tulpehocken, where Andreas KAPP married Regina Sophia (MUELLER) SIEGMANN. But what then of his age?
To have been on the list in New York in 1710, Andreas had to have been age 21 or older, which means he was born before 1689, which means he's not the Johann Andreas KAPP baptized in Bavaria in 1711. The fact that Andreas and Regina married in 1739 makes the younger Andreas the more likely husband, although she could have been the older Andreas's second (or third or...) wife. What a can of worms. But if the Seth Bunker CAPP genealogy is correct, then a lot of errors have been made and accepted regarding these Bavarian KAPPs.
