I have found some information at the Lebonan,Maine Town Hall, It states that Samuel Copps came from Rochester,NH to Lebanon as early as March 1760. He served in Capt. Samuel Gerrish's Company of Lebanon men from march to Nov. 1760. He was the first settler in the extreme western part of the town, on the farm now owned by the Misses Dixons. He was born 6 Apr 1742 and died Lebanon, 4 Oct. 1816. He married {1} 31 May 1764, Hannah Hayes who was born 3 Mar 1743. He married {2} in lebanon 21 June 1798, Sarah {Scates} Wentworth, widow of Thomas Knox and of Nathaniel Wentworth of Middleton,N.H. She was living as widow Sally Copp in Lebanon in 1818. He was the first Representative to the General Court in 1772. He became deacon of the first Parish in 1781. His wife Sarah was born 15 Feb 1752, daughter of John Scates of Berwick, Maine. His children were as follows:

3. Jane, B 16 Oct 1768; babt. 28 sept 1780

5. George, b. 10 Jan 1773; bapt. 28 sept 1780
6. Sarah, b. 21 June 1775; bapt 28 Sept 1780
7. Jonathan, b 5 Mar 1777; bapt 28 sept 1780; m
Polly Churchill
8. Hannah, b 2 May 1779; bapt 28 Sept 1780
9. Roger, b 21 May 1781; babt 22 July 1781
10. Benjamin Hayes, b 8 Mar 1785
11. Huldah, B 11 March 1791; m 6 july 1816 James Brown

My ancestors go from Samuel to Uriah to his son Wesley to his daughter Mabel to my grandmother Alice. Any further information you could supply to me would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Linda
