Motley-Coppedge-Mayes 1780

I have found a will for a Sarah Motley in Amelia Co VA dated 21 May 1784. She was the wife of Joel Motley, who could be the son of Joseph Motley. A Joel is mentioned in Joseph's will dated 1763 in Amelia. Joseph was married to Elizabeth Forrest, daughter of Abraham Forrest Sr. and his wife Judith. Sarah Motley leaves her possessions to her child if it survives, and then to her brother Moses Coppage and her niece Sally Sutten, daughter of her sister Betty Sutten, wife of James Sutten. The records I have show that Sarah Coppege, sister of Moses, married a Lundsford.
Joseph Motley and his daughter Judith Paine and her husband Thomas witnessed the will of William Mayes in Amelia Co VA in 1751. Over in Northumberland Co VA in 1777 a John Maise owns land nextdoor to a James Sutton. This Mayes family has a long history of a relationship with the Coppage family and the Lundsfords.
Does anyone have any insights into these Mayes-Coppage-Motley connections? Thanks
