Hey. I have the same challenge as you but up in Virginia with the African American/native Coram. Jacksons and Corams lived in proximity and there was some talk of being related. What further deepened the challenge was that by grand uncle was named Frank Jackson Coram. Maybe someone had an outside the marriage child, either the mother or father. Or maybe that giving a child the middle name was a way of keeping the relationship with the Jacksons alive.

My point to you is that in Willam Coram's line there was a Nancy Jackson Coram, born October5, 1814 in Warren county GA and died April 12, 1870. She may be a link to the Jackson relationship. Find her birth and/or death records and that may lead to the family line. She was the daughter of Thomas Coram and Deborah Hays (b. 1787) and Nancy was the wife of James A. Nobles.
