Does the book on Capt Thomas Coram that you cited, or any other sources you know of, provide any more information on who were his ancestors from Ottery St. Mary? The website, www.teevanfamilytree.com provides a lot of information about the Coram's of Ottery St. Mary starting in 1550, but the connection of these Corams to Capt. Coram is conjectural and indefinite.
