William C. Corum/Coram 1767-1853

I am trying to find proof that this William C. Coram b. in Virginia in 1767 and died in Clay county, MO 15 August 1853 was alive and was in the Revolutionary War. He married Basheba Bloyd in North Carolina in 1804 and was the son of John Corum and Virginia Nancy Cookshin. William and Basheba had a son, Milton b. in Green County, KY 26 May 1810.
Looking for proof to distinguish him from the William Coram married to Ann Hodo.
