Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Sorry, I am sure "my" Thomas Corams are not the same as yours. The first one I mentioned lived from 1598 - 1640 in Ottery St. Mary, Devon, England which is the wrong time period and wrong location for you. The second one, the most well-known one, Capt. Thomas Coram, lived from 1668 to 1751, mostly in London; again the wrong timme and place for you. Also he had no children at all. I checked the document mentioned by Patricia at the start of this thread and could not find "your" Thomas or William Coram, although both the time and place are closer. However, I suggest that you contact her and get that document. It might contain some useful hints even if not the exact people you seek. Finally, I checked my files for other Thomas Corams that might have immigrated to Virginia and found none. The Corams among my ancestors that immigrated to the new world came to Missouri, Ohio, Montana, Massachusetts, Alberta, Ontario, and New Brunswick.
