The most up-to-date book on Capt Thomas Coram is "Thomas Coram, Gent., 1668 – 1751", by Gillian Wagner, Rochester NY, The Boydell Press, 2004. This book is in print. There are several earlier books on Capt. Coram, which are referenced by Wagner's. He was a recognized expert on the American Colonies. As such he was made a Trustee for the Colony of Georgia. He built ships in Massachusetts. He got laws passed in England supporting the development of American manufacturing of naval stores.
