The most up-to-date book on Capt Thomas Coram is "Thomas Coram, Gent., 1668 1751", by Gillian Wagner, Rochester NY, The Boydell Press, 2004. This book is in print. There are several earlier books on Capt. Coram, which are referenced by Wagner's. He was a recognized expert on the American Colonies. As such he was made a Trustee for the Colony of Georgia. He built ships in Massachusetts. He got laws passed in England supporting the development of American manufacturing of naval stores.
