My name is Robert Coram James. My father is the closest living relative of Captain Thomas Coram. Apparently the captain had a brother who had a daugter called Mary Coram. Mary Coram married Richard James, who are my ggggg grandparents. I know alot of the ophans took the Coram name, but my great grandfather was once invited to Coram Fields as the closest living relative some 50 years ago. We also seem to have inherited the Coram family coat of arms, which consists of 4 eagles and an otter. By the way, I thought the Captain was in the merchant navy.
