There were many mispellings around a very similar name, and I'm wondering if the same is true here. My grandfather's name of his original marriage license had Korob, and most other documents from then on had Corob, which ended up being our family's last name. However, I found dozens of documents and newspaper's articles on my grandfather from the early 1900's spelling his name corbo, coreb, corab, corb, carob, carol, Korab, etc. It was absolutely crazy when trying to do research. Therefore, don't give up. Check courthouse documents like i did, and see if there are any other similar spellings and it might lead you to find someone who is related. Good Luck - L. Corob
