RE: my previous message. Arthur may have had a wife born in Louisiana and a daughter Mary/May born in Louisiana about March or May 1880. Mary/May married a Foster Hathaway about 1897. Census records for May Hathaway for 1900-1930 all say that her father was born in England and her mother in Louisiana. My aunt has a Bible inscribed "Arthur Cordy, 8 Sep 1869, a gift from his beloved father Charles Cordy." Given May Hathway's birth date, Arthur could have been her father and died (27 Nov 1879) before she was born. He may have died in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.
