The list Wash.Co.Fair list is great! I do have the census record of 1820 for "Ladock" Corey so he was there! Here is the info I have so far. First. Lemuel Corey, listed in the " History of Camden, Oneida Co.NY." book. Thought by some to be Zadock's father. No proof at all.One person thought Lemuel was born in 1766.
Second. Zadok/Zadock,b. 1779 NY. Died, buried in Mound Cemetery 15July,1833. In the same plot are buried.l.Eliza Corey, dau of John Corey and Hannah McGrew who married in 1837. 2. Jerusha Fenn Corey, wife of Ebenezer. 3. Ozzie Corey, son of Thomas S. Corey and Lucy Ann Lewis. Obviously, all are closely related.
1830 Census. Ebenezer Cory,b.1810 and Zadoc live next to each other.
1840 Census. Ebenezer and his family. Also, a listing for Zadoc, although he is dead. (several persons checked at different ages but no older male there).
1850 Census. Ebenezer and family live right next to John and Roxanna Corey. He was b.1817 in Virginia. Lucy Ann Lewis lives with John's family. John and Roxanna had a son named Zedick-sp?
1860 census. John,b.1817 in Ohio ? and Rebecca Cory with their family. Also, A listing for Ebenezer Corey and his family.
1860 census. John Corey ,b.1817 with wife Rebecca.
To Continue: During the Civil War, Ebenezer, age 50 volunteered with his son Jonathan Henry. Ebenezer listed Zadoc as his father, no mother name. Included on the same page are the sons of John and Hannah Corey, namely Joseph and Decatur, both of whom died. (sad!!). John,b.1808 in NYState died in 1886 and lists his parents as Kingsberry and Mary Corey of NY State!
So,who are Zadoc's children? We know Ebenezer,b1810. Also, you think John W.,b.1817 married to Rebecca. But How about Thomas,b.1812/13? And what about John,b.1817 VA married to Roxanna? Let me know what
