Oct 1828 in Essex Co., NJ. and died 1878, Eufala, AL.Ended up in Eufala, AL (Barbour Co.)around 1850.Married Mary (?) from Meriwether Co., GA.Children included Alice, Lula, Charlie, Anna and John.In the 1870 census, there are two Charlies listed, one being aged 12 and noted that he was adopted from mother.
Amos was a carriage maker.Early spellings in census records show Cory, but the later ones show Corey.The latter spelling is the spelling that continued to this day in our family.
