Thank you Claire for your information... As it turns out, after some research and and a lot head-scratching, I've found that the person in question was actually christened Eliza Carré, as she was French Canadian. But living in anglophone community and later marrying Hiram Webster, she most likely took the name Corey to make matters simpler or for some other personal reason. Again, thanks anyway and good look in your genealogical quest!
