Hi Eliza,

We are very interested in your search for Robert Cormack. I am researching my family tree, including the Rae family who lived in St Abbs around 1880. I have recently established that in 1880 my Great-grandfather's sister Ann Rae married Robert Cormack, a fisherman, in St Abbs. We traced their family through census returns up to 1901 but after that the trail went cold. One of their eight children was Robert, born around 1890. We could find no death records for any of the family and were wondering if they had emigrated.

I know the birth date is not exactly right but perhaps this could be your Robert Cormack? I would be happy to email you copies of the relevant birth, marriage and census records for this family, if you think it could be the same person.

Regards
Fiona Smith (MS Rae)
