Since she was born ca 1840 from this record, she is most probably the youngest daughter of Gregoire and Madeleine Babineau. There doesn't seem to be any other Gregoire Cormier in the vicinity, but perhaps Victor Cormier could enlighten us on this subject.

According to the baptismal records of Memramcook, found on the Centre d'etudes acadiennes web site, Luce, daughter of a Gregoire was baptized there on 14 Jan 1840, which matches her age in the 1881 census.

Gregoire Cormier and Madeleine Babineau were married in Memramcook on 18 Oct 1814. Either they are her parents, or had a son of the same name as his father who could possibly be her father. Hope this helps. The fact that she has a son named Gregoire also reinforces this theory.
