Descendants of Germain Cormier and Marie LeBlanc

Any information is greatly appreciated.

I have a rather large gap in the Cormier history on my mother's side of the family. I can trace the Cormiers back to Robert Cormier then to Thomas Cormier born in 1636 and he married a Madeline Girovard in 1669. Then to Germain Cormier born 1676 who married Marie LeBlanc in 1703. I'm not sure of the lineage after that.

I know that Germain and Marie had 10 children (maybe more) and 5 of them were male. So I'm not sure if the lineage continues with either Pierre born 1705 and married Anne Marie Patre in 1726, Germain born 1714 and married Anne Gaudet in 1741, Jean Baptist born 1716 married Marie Hugon in 1739, Francois born in 1724 and married Madeline Doucet in 1748, or Charles born in 1726 but it appears he never married.

My mother did some research when she was a young girl and there are some gaps which I can't fit in. The next generation would be Francois born in 1749 and married a Clara Fournier in 1768 or a Jean-Baptist born in 1735 and married a Madeline Landry in 1762.

I can go back 7 generations including my generation and 3 or 4 back from the Robert Cormier who arried in Canada in 1610 and it seems I have a 3 or 4 generation gap with the 1700's. My mother did the best she could do back in the early 1940s.

Thanks for any help

Michael Ashley
