Last lap lime is an all day fund raising party held by the old boys and girls association of St Roses, St Josephs and Saints high schools, in Canada every year. It is held on the first Monday of August. In Canada the caribbean folks have what is a semi Carnival called Caribbana. I do not know how long ago this started but I have gone to Canada from the U.S.A on and off for the last thirteen years to attend. I guess Last lap got its name by being the last party Guyanese can go to on this weekend to see all the people they have not seen in years. One can see Guyanese of all ages there. The food is all West Indian. Curry Roti. Salt fish and Bakes ect. There is a huge bar where Beer is sold by the plastic cup ( not bottle). A band plays all the old Merry Men and Traidwinds songs, amoung other songs. Every time we go I see a few more people that I have not seen in a while. If you can get there I suggest you try it.
I guess It will have to be the one in Guyana asI do not know any Chris's in Canada. He would be the brother of Bunny and John. We do not know the maiden name of Hannibal's wife. Who Knows? Do you know if your G G Grand father once had a sugar cane farm?
I too am leery about giving out info about my family on the net. That is why I gave you my address. In todays society one does have to be very careful with info given to people we do not know.
All for now
