I have never been able to find a will that would link Mary
Ann Corzine to any family in Cabarrus County, N. C. There
several large families in that county at the time of her
marriage with the surname of Corzine, so she could have been
descended from one of these. I corresponded for a time with
Mr. Mic Barnett of Houston, TX, who owns a genealogy book
and supply store there. He had the most complete information
on the families that I had ever come across but he could not
place in any one of the Corzine families. As I understand it, these Corzines originally came from Cecil County, MD and
removed to N. C. around 1790. I have a copy of a letter written by a grandson of Mary Ann's daughter, Sally Shaver
Lloyd, many years ago. Sally was my great-great grandmother
and his letter stated that Mary Ann was half Cherokee Indian
but I don't know about that.
Thanks for your reply. I will keep looking.
