Hi, Eric:
I found a reference to Jacob Cosman on the Mabou Family Tree (genealogy.com): born, Digby NS, in 1820; married Charity Cossar about 1844; and, died in New Brunswick in 1884. If this is your greatgrandfather, we are related through his grandfather, James (born 1763), who was one of the loyalist brothers who emigrated to Nova Scotia about 1784. James is my fourth greatgrandfather.

John Cosman, Oak Harbor, WA
