Hi, Gerry:
According to the Mabou Cosman Family Tree, my great-grandfather was James Blaksley Cosman (1850), son of James Cosman (1825), grandson of Peter John Cosman (1794), and great-grandson of James Cosman (1763). I would be thrilled with any information. I know that John and James received land grants in Digby and were apparently farmers rather than mariners. I'm really curious about why my great-grandfather left Yarmouth sometime before 1882 and settled and married in Pennsylvania. My father has no recollection of his grandparents even though he is still mentally acute at age 85.
