Huston: From Gadsden (AL) Times, Sunday October 29, 1978.
William (Red) Houston Costner, 79, 111 Vanderbilt Ave,died at a local hospital (Mountainview), yesterday (October 28, 1978). Funeral tomorrow (October 30, 1978) at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Survivors: daughter, Mrs Frank Chaffin, Gadsden; son, O.S. Costner, Gadsden; granddaughters, Mrs Gail Kelly and Miss Tootsie Chaffin, both of Gadsden; grandsons, Mike Costner and Gerald Kellly, both of Gadsden; sister, Mrs Zulia Perry, Alexander City; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sue Costner, Gadsden; son-in-law, Frank Chaffin, Gadsden.
Beulah: From Gadsden Times, Saturday April 21, 1962.
Ms. Beulah Costner 62, 111 Vanderbilt St, Route 3, Gadsden, died yesterday (April 20, 1962) at a local hospital.Funeral services will be held tomorrow (April 22, 1962) at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Houston Costner; a daughter, Mrs Frank Chaffin, Gadsden; her mother, Mrs Ada Davis, Boaz; two sisters, Mrs Bertha Hall and Mrs Bessie Bruce, Boaz; four brothers, Lowell Davis and Cicero Davis, Boaz; Jimmie Davis, Gadsden, and Virgil Davis, Albertville.
A native of Breman, GA and a resident of Gadsden most of her life, she was a resident of Boaz for a number of years. A member of Beulah Baptist Church near Kilpatrick, AL.
