Actually I guess that I am speaking of your grandfather James. My grandfather was born in 1881 and lived with the Coston's. From what my mom said that the Coston's in which that he stayed with had a son by the name of Doyle. You are right about that there is a Doyle Coston still living in Van Veleck. I don't know him.

But from what I understand that James J. Harrison's dad left James Harrison with the Coston's as a baby or they took care of him somewhat as he needed nursing. James's mother passed away while he was a baby. Do you know if there is any information in a bible or something, even pictures on James J. Harrison? Also, I am trying to find Charles and where he was during this time. James Harrison also had a sister Hattie.

I would appreciate any information. Oh, also, my grandfather had a mandolin that was donated to the Matagorda County Historical Society as he was really into playing the mandolin. From what I hear the Coston's were into musical instruments.

Would love to get any information on The Coston's as they took care of him and The Harrison's.

Muriel Gardner
