I'm looking for information about Sarah Coston/Corson who married James Henson in Rutherford County, N.C. on 18 Jan. 1837. James is my g-g grandfather. Sarah/Sally was born ca 1817, N.C.; d. 12 June 1865, Forsyth Co. Ga. From what I can piece together from U.S. census data, Sarah may have been daughter of John Coston (b. ca 1789, N.C.) and Margaret (b. ca 1790, N.C.). This John Coston may be the one enumerated on the 1820 U.S. census for Mecklenburg Co, N.C., the 1830 census for Rutherford Co., N.C., the 1840 and 1850 census for Forsyth Co, Ga. There appears to have been a connection between the Costons and McGuires for Westley McGuire was bondsman for the marriage of James Henson and Sarah Corson/Coston. On 24 Oct. 1837 Westley McGuire married Margaret Coston in Rutherford Co. John Coston, Wesley McGuire and James Henson were all enumerated in Forsyth Co, Georgia in 1840 and 1850.
