Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

The sister of my great grandfather, Mary Ann COSTEN, married in 1854 Weakley Co., TN. In the marriage record her maiden name is spelled CAUSTON, even though all other family records use the spellings COSTEN, COSTIN, COSTAN, and all varients of CAST_N, as well as CAWSON. There's been a family discussion since I was a child over whether the "T" is silent or pronounced.
