I am searching for parentage of William Colston (varied spelling)b-c1805 in VA, info listed on census records.
He married Martha Minitree (sp) around 1835 probably in NC/TN as she lists NC as place of birth. William and Martha Colsotn were listed on the 1840 Marshall Co., TN census with two children under the age of five years. They were in Lincoln Co., TN 1850 census; Giles Co., TN 1860-1870 census; in Lincoln Co., TN 1880 census.
It is possible they may have moved to/around Ellis Co., TX before the 1900 census along with their son, David, and family.
Would appreciate hearing from anyone with information regarding William and family.
Thanks
Gladys
