Virginia,
I have reviewed all my genealogy records, and cannot find any William W. COSTON or possible parents James COSTON and Susanna BERRYHILL.
The only reference I found among my records was a hardcopy printout I had saved of a posted message addressed to you on July 9, 1999, responding to a query where you were seeking similar info about any parental connection of William W. COSTON to James COSTON and Susanna BERRYHILL.
My James COSTON (also, COSTIN) was born 1776-1784, died bef. 1830, and seems to have resided first, in Duplin Co. NC, and later New Hanover Co., NC.
One group of Coston’s that moved from NC to TN seems to be documented. You may have already been down this road, but if not, I might suggest you check out Sandy Campbell’s website THE CAMPBELL-COSTON GENEALOGY at http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/c/a/m/Sandy---J-Campbell/index.htmlhttp://www.familytreemaker.com/users/c/a/m/Sandy---J-Campbell/index.html or you can go straight to the site for some of the descendants of Francis COSTEN at
http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/c/a/m/Sandy---J-Campbell/GENE6-0001.htmlhttp://www.familytreemaker.com/users/c/a/m/Sandy---J-Campbell/GENE6-0001.html where you can consecutively click Next Page at the bottom of the screen and continue to the end. Some of these Coston’s moved from NC and settled in TN.Sandy Campbell may have information on some Coston lateral lines (to her) which you might find helpful?
Of course, I will retain your queries as my search continues, and advise of anything appearing useful in your search.
KEVIN COSTON
