There is a possibility that William Alexander Cauthen(also spelled Cothren in the family Bible) born in Maury County, Tn in 1841 may be the Alexander Cothron you are looking for. He was the son of William Alexander Cauthen born in 1821 in Tennessee. His father used his middle name of Alexander and the son may have also. In any case please go to
