I have two sisters for Martha (info is based on marriages for children of Ruth, wife of John Bishop in early va.)

1) Rachel Skaggs daughter of Ruth wife of John Bishop m. William Lester 26 march 1786 Montgomery Va. many William Lester descendants filed eastern Cherokee Applications
2) Darky (prob. nickname for Dorcus) Cothron m. Owen O'Donald 20 Feb 1796 Montgomery Va. They had a daughter named Ruth m. Martin Peery 2 Oct 1819.
These three girls--martha, Rachel, and Dorcus--all have marriage licenses as Daughters of Ruth, wife of John Bishop (his second wife). I have also speculated that Cothron/Gothin/ could be the last name "catherine". Spelling was very arbitrary back then.
