early US Cotnam's

Hello my name is Rosita Lee Cotnam. Father Rory Lee Cotnam. I am a decendent of William Madison Cotnam. My great grandfather was George Cotnam who lived in Arkansas and Texas. I have found from cenus records that The Cotnams of the US have been here longer than the clan of Canada. Lee is very prodomiate in our family names. Iam trying to find the original Lee in the family tree and their importance to our family.
Also I have found info on a Lady Victoria Isabella Gray Cotnam who came to the US around the time of Colonial America. There is also Captain Cotnam married to Deborah Cotnam and son Charles around 1700's from the British Antillies that have shown up in the Carolina's. I am searching in this area for orignial documentation. Please contact me to discuss if you have information or insight.
