Jacob Coughenour of Pennsylvania
Hello,
My mother's maiden name is Coughenour, and I am trying to find out more about this line. The earliest Coughenour I have is Jacob Coughenour (b. about 1760 in Pennsylvania). He married a Miss Kline (also b. about 1760 in Pennsylvania). One of their children is a Christian Coughenour, who starts the Gallia County, Ohio, Coughenour's.My line seems to stick mostly to Rockbridge County, Virginia; Gallia County, Ohio; and Audrain County, Missouri. Then from Missouri into Kansas, where I live.Any information would be greatly appreciated.I am anxious to see if these Coughenour's came from Germany, and if they did, when they immigrated and where they landed. Thanks, Amy Frick
