I'm helping a friend with her Coulson line. I have William GREEN COULSON b. ?, m. Sara Elizabeth AVERY b. Wilson Co., TN. Our notes say he is son of William Jacob COULSON, but I've seen no hard proof. William GREEN COULSON's son was Rev. Glen Avery COULSON b.19 Sept 1834 in Jackson, Gibson Co., TN, m. Marion Adkinson Glasscock 15 Feb 1862, d. 17 Dec 1914. This William Green COULSON appears in the 1850 KY census, county unknown.

This Coulson research is a mess. It's going to need a Philadelphia lawyer to unravel. I'll be happy to share what I have if you wish. e-mail me.
