Hi:
I'm looking for the ancestors of Thomas E. Coulson b. 8/26/1851,Northumberland, d.4/23/1932 in Southern Illinois,
and his wife was Rachael Scott b. 12/13/1852 also of England. She maybe from Perry Maine(?).
They had four children, two of whom were born in Northumberland,Thomas Alexander b.10/30/1882-d.1960,Robert Edward McKenzie b.4/12/1878-d.1/2/1964. James b.1887-d.abt.1960, was born in Durham, and Mary Alice b.2/18/1889 was born in Kansas City, Kansas.
I do know that they travel back and forth from the United
States to England several times. They were said to have had money, maybe were into some type of shipping goods back and forth. All the men were coal miners in the states.
the didn't completely settle stateside until after 1902.
In the states they lived in Center, Colubiamana Co. Ohio, Kansas City, Kansas, Divernon, Sanganom Co. IL, Glen Carbon
and Collinsville, both of Madison Co.IL. Then the family split up after 1910 and some lived in Zeigler, and West Frankfort, Franklin Co. IL
Most of these Coulsons are buried in Southern Illinois in Benton and West Frankfort, except those living in Collinsville.
If anyone has heard of these people or are related to them, please let me know. I'm working with two others in the family line, each from a different branch. I am the great great grand daughter of Thomas E. Coulson and Rachael Scott.
