My father, John Plantier of Cohoes New York, father's name was Adolph Plantier, whose father was Eduoard Plantier of Holyoke Mass. Eduoard's mother was Emelie Coupal and his father was Charles Plantier. They are from Quebec.
In fact, I'm going over to Holyoke later this summer to visit the community college where many of the holdings of the Holyoke Library History Room are being housed temporarily.
I don't know much at this time. My father's side was tight-lipped. I don't know why. But I would like to know what I can. My father and his sister Pauline did speak French when taboo subjects were broached. I did not learn the language.
I hope this reaches you out there in cyberspace.
