Hello Elaine.
I thought I would just have a look at my 1881 census to see if it would shed some light. I expect you already have the information.
in 1881 George Course Head Ag. Labourer age 34 Ravenstone Bucks address The Grange Cottages, Bozeat, Northampton. Eng.
also listing Caroline, Henry emma joseph && William age 11 months. Emma and Joseph were born in Lincolnshire Emma in Boston and Joseph Frithville. Henry was born in Ravenstone Bucks (perhaps they moved around for work).
I also note that there is a Frederick Course at 43 Cleveland Road, Northampton. He is also from Ravenstone Bucks. perhaps they were brothers? He lived with his wife Harriet, Ada, Kate, Lizzie, Fred and Alf.

William Course of Church Lane Ravenstone
Head Farm Lab. of Emberton wife Sarah and granddaughter Cecily age 9 scholar both of Ravenstone.

As you have year of Birth and the place of birth you will be able to get George Course s
certificate from the National Statistics they have a web site complete with printout forms. I have got my |Course certs from there but they only start from 1837 I think.I have also checked on my VRI and cannot trace them on there either.

Its a start anyway.
from a chilly night in Kent
