I have unearthed a little about the name change at would seem that the DeCoursey name DID actually become many other names during the 1700's i've just hit on a website called Dutch Uncle hosted by Bill DeCoursey. After a very quick squizz through it i did see a mention of the name change when the Dutch immigrants(DeCourseys!)changed their name to avoid conflict with the Indians who were fighting with the French. The address is never know it might be of some relevance later on in our quest
All the best Diane
