You can look at Elizabeth's Ohio death certificate for free at:;c=1307272

It shows she was born Oct 23 in Pittsburgh, died June 4, 1926 in Norfolk, OH and buried in Woodlawn Cemetery. Her father was Conrad Young who was born in Germany and mother was a Smith who was born in Alsace Lorraine. How she ended up in Norfolk seems a puzzle. William's DC is in there too.

The 1860 census shows a Conrad Jung 32, Catharine 25, Augustus 4 and Eliza 4/12 living in Reserve Twp., Allegheny County, PA.

The 1870 census shows the Conrad Young living in Allegheny City (which later merged with Pittsburgh). Catharine apparently died and Conrad had remarried.

Check with the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania, Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society and Pittsburgh Family History Center to see if they can help you find Benjamin's death date and hopefully an obituary. Once you have his death date then try to get his death certificate from the PA Div. of Vital Records.

I believe the City of Pittsburgh started recording marriages before the state did in 1885. With luck Ben and Liz's marriage is on record with the City. I believe the three organizations above may be able to help you with that.
