Looking for help on The Covert family of New Castle Lawrence Co Penn

I have been looking for the correct line of Coverts that my Elizabeth Ann Covert br abt 1822 in Pa who married James Cambell and lived in Clay Twp Butler Co for years.

There was a Peter Covert living with the James and Elizabeth Ann Campbell family in the 1850 census which does not show relationships in it...

Also one of Eliza and James Campbell's son was named Samuel Covert Campbell br abt 1844

At that time no one was able to tell me anything about Elizabeth as no one knew.

I put a tree on Ancesrty a few yrs ago re Peter Covert trying to find out who his parents were... This past weekend I found out who his parents were... Samuel Covert and Ann Shoaf of New Castle Penn.

Samuel Covert and Ann Shoaf had children Harvey 1815 - 1900 Peter 1824 1907 Samuel 1824 Garrett 1832 Eleanor 1833 1908 Amzi 1834 Also a tree in Ancestry has my Elizabeth br 1822 in the same tree.

Knowing that what a person has in their tree is not necessary correct I did some deep digging in to Samuel and Ann's children

Their son Harvey Covert seemed to hold the key to Peter Covert being his brother. I found Harveys obit and a very nice write up about him and a picture of him in this write up when he died.

Harveys obit of May 9 1900 said that he left 4 daughters and 2 sons and 2 brothers Garrett Covert of Butler Co and Peter Covert whose home is in Virginia. Mrs J C Wick of Grant St in New Castle is a sister.

The write up on him in another page same date as obit The New Castle News tells more or less about his life...

It tells his parents

He was the son of Mr and Mrs Samuel Covert of New Castle br on a farm just east of where the courthouse stands on Jan 16th 1815 [this is in New Castle]

It tells of him learning the bricklaying and plastering at abt age 15 from Luke Covert a uncle and a James Forbers They were general contractors. Very informative write up with lots of info re his occupation.

With this info I went searching for info on Harveys parents and grandparents...

I found the following on his parents searching the internet ect.... there was no info re Samuel and Ann tho that I have found so far other than that Samuel married Ann Shoaf.

Samuel Covert his father was br in 1790 and mother Ann Shoaf
was br in 1793

Children were
Harvey 1815 1900 New Castle
Peter 1824 1907 W Virginia
Samuel 1824
Garrett 1832
Eleanor 1833 1908 New Castle
Amiz 1834

Census records show that in 1850 Samuel and Ann with daughter Eleanor and son Garret Covert dau Amzi lived in Mahoning Lawrence Co Pa as did Samuel's brother Thomas Covert br abt 1798 with his family.

I found an obit on a Margaret Covert who never married who was br in 1849 died in Jun. 19, 1939 New Castle Law Penn

"Miss Covert was born in Allegheny County on August 3, 1849, daughter of Samuel and Annie Shoaf Covert"

Somthing that does not make sense is the following entry in her obit

"The deceased leaves a half-sister, Mrs. Mary McCandless. Who is she this 1/2 sister?"

There is no child in the 1850 census for Samuel and Ann Coverts census entry with name Margaret.

In Harvey Covert's Obit it does not mention a sister named Margaret anywhere. It does mention a sister named Mrs JC Wick. [Who would be his sister Eleanor J Covert who married Jeremiah C Wick Her obit tells that her parents were Samuel Covert and Ann shoaf]

Can someone help that knows the Covert lines that might me figure this out please.

I am so lost here and am thinking that this Samuel Covert might have been married to Ann different maiden name if not for the obit on Eleanor Wick. Her brother Harvey being dead by 1908 and no siblings were mentioned in her obit.

Thank you
