I was trying to connect the line of Conrad Custer and Susannah Addams to the Brokaws and Coverts and found this: http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-bin/pageload.cgi?brokaw::custer::1581.html that said:
1 George Brokaw 1728-1820
+Jannat CUSTARD 1752-1850

2 John P Brokaw abt 1800-1876
+ Sarah Burwell 1802-1883

I had been thinking that John Brokaw had married a Covert, but now remember this name: Sarah Burwell as a direct ancestor of my great-great-grandmother, Margaret Elizabeth Covert. Somehow Sarah Brokaw's children connected up to Coverts buried in Crabapple church cemetery, New Athens, Ohio.
