I cannot seem to find it on the Internet, but, about thirty years ago I saw it in the reference section of the Library of Congress:
in a book, I think called Deutsche Namen Lexicon??
Wernherr Coverture was "Ratsherr zu Duderstadt" around 1337???
Is anyone near enough Washington DC now to go check?

Also said the name was "Ritterlich" which, means "knightly" or refers to a Knight as "Knight" in German is Ritter.
