Eloped & Married Eric Thomas Harmer #46070 (b Broadstairs, Kent - 17/02/1906; d York, N.Yorkshire 16/10/1974) on Isle of Man on 27/08/1948.

Dorothy lived and worked in London throughout WW2, moving to Ripon N.Yorkshire when she married Eric, living in Yorkshire for the rest of her life,moving back to live in Ripon from November 1964 on Eric's retirement from the Woolworth Company, working as a voluntary guide in Ripon Cathedral which she dearly loved until the late 1990's.
