Further to my posting of 18th August 2001, Keith Harmer (mentioned in that posting) has added to the story by message dated 30/8/01 on this forum.

Also, the following further information has come to light:

George Eliot Coxon born 1866 actually had 2 children by his 1st wife, Clare Harding, not one. Dorothy Clare was one of them but there was also an older brother, another Samuel. He married an Yvonne (? surname) and they had 2 daughters, Betty (Yvonne) and Dorothy, and were domiciled in Gloucestershire.

Tom Maughan married a Mabel Isabelle Glendenning. The Glen is a family pet name. Their four children are: - Philip, Ronald, Jill, and Alan Thomas, in that order.
