COXSON of Lincolnshire & Coventry
Posted by: George Mellers Date: January 21, 2002 at 15:23:18

Sarah COXON married James WILCOX 16 May 1831 at Coventry Holy Trinity. According to the 1851 census for Coventry, Sarah (COXON) Wilcox was born c 1805/6 in Stafford, Lincolnshire which apparently was so small a village as to totally disappear or is an enumerator or transcriber's error and it should be Stamford, Lincolnshire. Unfortunately, I've not been able to find a Sarah COXON being born in Stamford in the first few years of the 1800s.
I have found a Sarah COXON christened 7 Apr 1805 in Osbournby but that is quite a distance from Stamford. Any assistance would be very gratefully appreciated.
