Cragun Family Genealogy Forum

This is a long shot--- I have been told that a deed was found along with an old 'Crager' family bible. Which stated that Patrick Crager bought land on Indian Creek in Sullivan County, TN in 1817 (he was 33 yrs old at the time). So far, I cannot connect Patrick to our family. But I have had two people tell me that they saw the deed and it was with the Bible. I can see how un could be changed to er-- (my handwriting stinks). And my g-grand father always said that his father came from Ireland, but I have long suspected that it may have been his g-father. However, none of your Patrick Craguns Childrens names match my line, but there would be a generation between. Edmond Crager was born in 1820 in Mississippi Territory (Alabama)-- So far other than the deed I cannot connect the family back to Sullivan Co. through Patrick Crager except that Edmonds wife was the daughter of Erasmus Garland of the same area in Tennessee.
