Smith Cram-Rev. War-Montville, ME
Does anyone have information to the burial site of Smith Cram?Since he served in the Revolutionary War, his grave can and should be marked as a Rev. War veteran.
He may be buried in the Mt Repose Cemetery at Montville. One of his sons, John C.(should read Joseph)Cram and Betsy (nee Coffin), are buried there, the markings on the reverse side of the large stone: A.H. Cram(Albert H.)and Mary A. Carter (his wife). Also in the plot are four flat stones reading: mother, father, grandmother, grandfather.Confusing to say the least, but this may be the burial place of Smith Cram and listed simply as father. If grandmother and grandfather refers to the Cram family this may be the burial site for John Cram and Mary Sanborn Cram.If anyone has information to where John and Mary might be buried, it might solve this puzzle.I can be contacted directly, but the burial sites of this part of the family will be of interest to several that use this forum.
