Hi Everyone
I am an archivist at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown.
We have 32 beautiful drawings signed by Arabel Crandall. She also went by the name Belle Crandall. Was a member of a number of turn of the century art clubs and a charter member of the Mahoning Institute of Art.
She was the daughter of Nelson Crandall (1826) and was one of four children : Julia, James Ford and Charles Nelson.
I wanted to inquire if anyone out there might have a fuller biography of her. The above information came from J. G. Butler, Jr. History of Youngstown and Mahoning Valley.
Thank you to whomever might know something.
Patrick McCormick
