I don't know how popular the name Persis (Percis) was in the 1800's but today it would be unique to say the least. My Grandfather had a sister named Percis who married a man named WHITFORD and they had a son in New York probably around Chautauqua or Clinton Co.There were 11 children in the family 8 girls and 3 boys these are the children of Isaac CRANFIELD my G Grandfather who died in 1854 and is buried ???? If this sounds like some of your kin, let me know. We have been trying to get past this wall for years, my father never spoke of his father but we have some information and would love to hear from you. Don
